Description:
This LIWA crossing is an unforgettable experience but needs decent preparation and planning. We recommend a minimum of 3-4 vehicles that are experienced off-roaders (Intermediate). You can scale down by remaining on the flat areas, but the remoteness of this trail means you need to be prepared with extra fuel, various tools, recovery gears, GPS with offline maps, plenty of water, spare fluids, etc.
Take note that once you are halfway through there are no more escape routes, unless through the oilfield tracks, which is illegal and can get you in trouble.
Camping under the stars in this piece of the Empty Quarter will be a unique experience!
